This rare 356 A T1 Speedster is in exceptionally good original condition and has been carefully partially restored in the past.
Outstanding is the completely original, accident-free body shell. All body parts are stamped with matching numbers. The vehicle is largely unwelded and still has the original floor panels. The gap dimensions are flawless.
The paintwork including primer was renewed in 1988 by a Porsche restoration specialist in very good quality. The original Glasurit paint system was used.
The original interior was completely refurbished with high-quality original materials at that time.
The entire technology has been regularly maintained and is in perfect condition.
The original 1600 engine was replaced in 1979 by a 1600 Super engine. The transmission of type 644 is original and matching numbers.
Currently, the engine has been completely overhauled by our specialist workshop and upgraded to 90 HP through various modifications. The clutch was also renewed during this process. We also carried out the necessary maintenance and a main inspection.
The vehicle additionally comes with a period-correct hardtop, which was already installed by the first owner in the early phase.
The current owner had elaborately chromed Lemmerz wheels fitted with new Michelin XZX whitewall tires and original super hubcaps. The painted original wheels with correct date stamps are included.
The history of thisSpeedsters is fully documented: On January 28, 1957, the A T1 Speedster was first delivered through the general importer Hoffman, New York, to Dallas, Texas, and had three owners there. The third owner transferred the car to his summer residence in Los Angeles at the end of the 1990s. In 2014, the vehicle was purchased from a well-known Porsche dealer in Vista, California, and in 2016, it was resold to a Porsche specialist in Germany. The current owner acquired the Speedster at the end of 2020 and only drove it occasionally in good weather. The factory service booklet, a delivery certificate from the body manufacturer Reutter, as well as a Classic-Data valuation report are included. All accessories such as side screens, tonneau cover, onboard tools, and a jack are available. The total mileage of the vehicle is unknown (41,405 km read off). The sale is made on behalf of the customer. A viewing and test drive are possible at any time by appointment.
