Land Rover Series 2A (1968) – Authentic 4x4 project with character

This 1968 Land Rover Series 2A is a genuine restoration project for the true off-road enthusiast. It needs a full overhaul but has a solid base with an original chassis number and complete drivetrain. The 2286 cc engine starts and runs, despite signs of wear, and is paired with a manual gearbox.

The body shows rust and the paintwork needs renewal. The underside is heavily soiled with welding present. The front-right chassis top is torn, and the rear bench needs replacement. The driver’s seat is damaged, though the soft top is still in good condition. The brakes are seized, and the battery requires replacement.

Points of attention:

  • Bodywork, paint, and interior require restoration

  • Brakes are stuck

  • Wear on engine, gearbox and clutch

  • Electrical system and lighting not tested

Advantages:

  • Running engine

  • Original chassis number present and legible

  • Rare project with significant potential

  • Tyres still usable
