For sale is an exceptional Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RS / RSR Group 4 racing car from 1974, built to full RSR specifications and presented in nearly new condition.

The Porsche 3.0 RS or RSR is one of the most fascinating and uncompromising chapters of early 911 racing history. Developed as an evolution of the legendary 2.7 RS and as a basis for use in the then-Group 4, the 3.0 RS/RSR embodies the transition from the lightweight, purist 911 to the wide-bodied, highly specialized GT racing car. Wide body, consistent lightweight construction, large-dimensioned braking system, racing suspension, and the high-revving air-cooled six-cylinder make these vehicles some of the most sought-after historic 911 race cars to this day.

The vehicle offered here was built with great effort. The bodywork and assembly were carried out by Ingo Stimming, a name known in the Porsche and historic racing scene for precise and high-quality work. The car features a complete RSR specification for Group 4 and has a DMSB-HTP, making it a particularly interesting basis for historic motorsport events.

The engine originally comes from Manfred Rugen and was recently overhauled at Mittelmotor. The engine delivered an impressive 334 HP on the test bench. Since this engine overhaul, the vehicle has only been moved once for a rollout. Subsequently, the transmission was also overhauled; after that, the Porsche has not been used. Engine and transmission are thus practically fresh and in ain excellent condition.

The car has also been upgraded on the chassis side: a new coilover suspension has been installed, matching the consistent Group 4 build and the racing-oriented design of the vehicle. The paint, technology, and overall condition are impeccable and almost like new. The car makes an extremely high-quality, ready-to-use impression both visually and technically.
