There are very few examples of this short-wheelbase model.
Our vehicle also features two factory-installed special equipment options, such as the 100L tank and the original parking heater!
Additionally, the vehicle has the original Fuchs wheels and the headrests, which were optional at the time.

The history of the Targa Softwindow:

The Porsche 911 Targa Softwindow (also known as "Faltscheibentarga") was introduced in 1965. After the market launch of the Porsche 911 in 1963, a Cabriolet was quickly expected to follow the coupe. However, due to strict safety regulations in the USA, Porsche engineers had to be creative. The Porsche 911 Targa was born – the safety cabriolet. It established a dynasty and a unique selling point for Stuttgart. Porsche showcased this world novelty at the 1965 Frankfurt Motor Show. The name referenced one of the most significant road races of its time, the Targa Florio. The hallmark of the Targa was the safety bar as a continuous B-pillar. The roof element was placed between the windshield and the bar. It consisted of an aluminum frame with leather covering.
