We are very proud to offer this excellent Rolex vintage Submariner in stainless teel with a stainless steel rivet Oyster bracelet.

This is an extremely rare and historically significant vintage Rolex Submariner Ref. 5510 “Big Crown”, presented in very good and authentic condition throughout, and fitted to a later Rolex Oyster bracelet dated around 1970.

Manufactured in 1958, the Reference 5510 represents the final iteration of the legendary Big Crown Submariners, and is considered one of the most iconic Rolex dive watches ever produced. Manufactured for only a brief period between 1958 and 1959, the 5510 was the direct successor to the famous Ref. 6538—famously worn by Sean Connery in his early James Bond films—and is thus often referred to by collectors as the “James Bond Submariner.”

This example features all of the hallmark traits collectors seek:

- Oversized 8mm BREVET crown

- Authentic Tritium dial, hands, and bezel insert

- Rare early Caliber 1530 “Butterfly” movement, first introduced with this reference

It is widely believed that fewer than 300 examples of the Ref. 5510 were ever produced, making it one of the rarest and most coveted vintage Submariners in existence.

"Hierbei handelt es sich um eine der seltensten "Submariner"-Ausführungen mit großer Aufzugskrone ohne Kronenschutz. Referenz 5510 wurde nur für einen sehr kurzen Zeitraum hergestellt und es wird angenommen, dass weniger als 300 Exemplare gefertigt wurden.

Die vorliegende Submariner vereint verschiedene Merkmale, die sich jeder Vintage-Rolex-Sammler wünscht. Sie besitzt ein schwarzes Service Zifferblatt"Sub-First-Dial", das infolge von Umwelteinflüssen seine Farbe leicht verändert hat und nun ein einmaliges Erscheinungsbild erhielt.

Die schwarze Lunette hat ein ultra-seltenes Inlay mit rotem Dreieck, und ein Rolex "Big Logo"-Armband, das von Sammlern besonders begehrt wird.
