A one-of-a-kind piece made from decades-old walnut wood & 24-karat real gold

This table was not designed to blend into a room. It was created to make a statement.

At the center is old, characterful walnut wood, whose natural structures, edges, and unique grain have developed over many years. Instead of removing these traces of time, they have been deliberately preserved and incorporated into the design. Every irregularity, every grain, and every transition tells the story of the wood and makes the tabletop a true one-of-a-kind piece.

With an extraordinary thickness of 7 cm, the slab has a presence that immediately reveals its massive and elaborate construction. The natural wood sections are connected by an artfully crafted epoxy resin area. Its pearl-like shimmering depth creates an elegant contrast to the warm tones of the walnut wood.

The special detail, however, is 24-karat real gold. Golden accents run through the composition of the tabletop and continue into the extraordinary base. The characteristic structure of the individual gold leaf surfaces remains intentionally visible. It is not an industrially produced effect, but an expressionthe elaborate processing and makes the handcrafted creation visible.

The sculptural frame was handcrafted and, with its geometric shape, forms a powerful counterpoint to the organic lines of the wood. Depending on the angle of the light, the gold changes its effect – from a subtle, warm shimmer to an intense metallic shine.

The creation of this table was a collaboration of various craft disciplines: selecting and preparing the old walnut wood, shaping the natural contours, the multi-stage epoxy resin casting, integrating the gold elements, the elaborate sanding and polishing of the solid slab, and finally, the finishing of the frame with 24-karat real gold. Many individual steps result in a piece of furniture whose character cannot be reproduced industrially.

With 180 × 95 cm, an impressive board thickness of 7 cm, and a total height of 82 cm, the table combines monumental materiality with elegant proportions. Despite its luxurious appearance, the actual material remains the focus: grown wood, transparent material, and real gold.
