Vehicle description (by seller)

Body by Nuccio Bertone, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro!

Undoubtedly the most beautiful version of all the "Bertone Coupés" – unfortunately only produced for 1.5 years (Jan. 1968 - July 1969).
Full aluminum engine 1.8L 4-cylinder 115 HP, 5-bearing, 2 overhead camshafts, 2 Weber double carburetors, 5-speed gearbox, disc brakes front and rear, precisely guided coil spring rear axle. Max speed 190 km/h, curb weight only 1,040 kg (all factory specifications).

The "GT Bertone" was the most popular and successful coupé in the history of the legendary Alfa Romeo house and was produced in 3 series between 1966 and 1975. In 1968, the "1750 GTV Quattrifglio d`Oro" variant was introduced, which at the time, following the discontinuation of the 2600 series, represented the most luxurious Alfa "Bertone".
Besides the significantly improved technology, the particularly beautiful interior is worth mentioning, with factory bucket seats, an extensive instrument collection, and the generous use of Edeholz applications and others.
Noteworthy about this example is also the then-cult color "Giallo Ora", which was only available for a short time, as well as the now ultra-rare Campagnolo lightweight alloy wheels of the first generation, made from a particularly light magnesium alloy "Electron". Complemented perfectly with tires 185/70 VR14 Pirelli CN36, which have the profile of that era!
Additional features: green color scheme, Bilstein gas-pressure dampers with sport setting, electric thermo fan, original Blaupunkt Mexico stereo radio (contemporary), exhaust system with Monza tailpipe (because of the beautiful sound...).

History: After over 30 years of storage, we imported this Alfa from Bologna in 2023. In 2024, we carried out a thorough restoration of the coupe on a solid basis. The goal was to create a vehicle authentic in every detail from the year 1968.

The basis was an original specimen with an almost rust-free body, which we only had to weld a new part onto: the outer front panel below the bumper, because the existing one was wrong - from a 2000 GTV, which meant the original bumper no longer fit...(luckily, we found it in the trunk as an accessory!).

Conclusion: a 'Bertone' could hardly be more beautiful, better, or rarer!
