The McLaren 600LT Spider is the most extreme model of the Sports Series and bears the legendary "Longtail" (LT) abbreviation for good reason. The car features a highly stiff carbon monocoque (MonoCell II), an extremely powerful V8 mid-engine, and radically reduced mass.
This provides an outstanding power-to-weight ratio.

Especially characteristic are the spectacular top-exit exhaust pipes directly behind the heads of the occupants, the iconic dihedral doors, and the three-part hardtop that opens at the push of a button.
The 600LT Spider feels significantly more purist, louder, and more direct in its motorsport character than a regular 570S.

It is also interesting that McLaren has consistently turned the weight screw on the 600LT without restricting the open-air experience. The razor-sharp aerodynamics, the firm track suspension, and the unfiltered steering make it a true dream for purists and ambitious track day drivers.
