Longines SUPER RARE OVERSIZED 37MM POINTER DATE FROM 1946 VINTAGE

Longines Pointer Dates are rare watches and very desirable, as they came from the golden age of Longines. They were made during 2 decades in various cases, both steel and gold and in various sizes. But none rarer than this oversized 37mm variant (of which also 2 case variants exist, this is the thinner one). I'm therefore happy to offer this untouched ref 5758 which was delivered to Spain in 1946 (comes with Extract). The steel unpolished case is in great condition and has a typical period concave thin bezel. The original dial is therefore larger than on all other models and looks amazing on the wrist. It has evenly and wonderfully aged into a lovely cream tone with pained black numerals. A similar dial is pictured (albeit in another case) on a vintage Longines ad. Movement is in mint condition and has been serviced. It's a Cal 12.68Z with modified date function. Attached is a period style suede C&W strap with Longines buckle (the box is not included!).
