Regarding the water resistance of a watch, according to DIN 8310, it is not a permanent property. It is a snapshot that applies at the time of testing. In particular, high temperature fluctuations, shocks, salt water, sweat, and skin creams can negatively affect water resistance. Therefore, water resistance should be checked annually by a specialist dealer, and seals should be replaced if necessary.
Vintage models should also not come into contact with water due to their age.
