Boat Description


Sunbeam 44 Centre Cockpit cruiser. Built 1995. Privately owned, VAT paid. Spacious, comfortable and built to a quality one would expect from the Austrian builders, an ideal yacht for those looking to spend extended periods of time onboard. A wealth of investment, upgrades and improvements in the current ownership totalling over €55,000 the highlights being new teak decks, new standing rigging, upgrade of nav gear.



Engine and Machinery


Yanmar 4JH2E 50hp engine, shaft drive to 3 blade fixed prop, approx. 3,700hrs. For start of 2025 season, the engine will be subject of a major service and fuel tanks cleaning. Lofrans electric windlass with new chain 2022. Bimini & sprayhood both new 2023. Sloop rigged, standing rigging 2019, Seldon mast & spars, Harken hardware, Inmast furling main (2002), genoa new 2019.



Accommodation


Accom for 4/6 in 2 double cabins and saloon. 3 burner Eno cooker/oven, Danfos fridge, 2 Jabsco heads, 2 showers, Eberspacher cabin heating, 2 holding tanks. Comprehensive Nav gear – upgrades include Raymarine chart plotter & Autopilot incl hydraulic ram 2024. Sold to the current owners by Williams & Smithells Ltd. In current British ownership since 2017 prior to that long term Dutch ownership.

Construction


Built by Sunbeam Yachts, Salzberg 1995 to J&J design Centre Cockpit Cruising Yacht White GRP hull, deck (with new teak decks 2019) and superstructure (with teak). Lead (encapsulated) fin-bulb keel. Spade (fin) rudder. Steering wheel (Whitlock). Last survey done in 2003. Antifouling- 5 ltrs on board ready to apply for 2017 + new anodes (to be fitted).

It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.


Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Disclosure


Minor Grounding 2023: Following a minor grounding incident in 2023, as precaution the insurers approved the keel removal and replacement of keel bolts, strip out of cabin sole, water tanks, bilge glassing repairs and repainting, at cost of 27K, all done to very high standard at Basikmapolous shipyard, Porto Heli in autumn 2023. Full suite of photos by yard are available.
