Boat Overview

Stunning Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 51 in perfect condition and ready to sail. A boat that needs no introduction with hull designed by Bruce Farr and hull made of Kevlar-glass composite. Boat in the possession of the current owner for almost 20 years, always maintained properly. Routine and extraordinary maintenance operations carried out every year with expertise.

Maintenance and Upgrades

• Rigging and rigging replaced entirely in 2023, the year in which the mast was also completely overhauled;
• Harken barbarossa manual winches overhauled every year.
• The original engine was replaced in 2004 with a 98 hp Yanmar 4JH3, one of the most reliable ever designed by Yanmar. The engine has been regularly serviced and has approximately 2400 hours under its belt. Maxprop 3-bladed engine propeller.
• Axle line seal replaced in 2019;
• Gelcoat on deck free of cracks, non-slip in the transoms and teak in the cockpit and aft installed in 2023.
• Complete battery pack replaced in 2023 (4 batteries in total of 200 amp each).
• External cushions redone in 2018 with closed cell, fully waterproof and very durable. External covers and awnings redone in 2018, including lazy bag and lazyjack. Interior cushions in excellent condition, never redone.
• Electronic instrumentation fully functional, Raymarine GPS Plotter installed in the cockpit table in 2023.
• Anti-osmosis treatment carried out in 2008. Hull brought to zero in 2021.
• 6kw bow thruster by Lewmar.
• Windlass installed in 2020, Lewmar 1200 v4, with 50m galvanised chain and 25kg Bruce anchor.
• Rudder bushing overhauled in 2020.
• Halyards and sea intakes replaced in 2019.
• Sheets and halyards replaced in 2023.
• Mainsail and genoa are original but have been overhauled annually.
• Safety equipment was recently purchased.
• RINA certificate expiring in 2027.

Complete fairing carried out in July 2024 (antifouling and complete engine overhaul).
