General Description

SHARKFINN is a striking 44-meter (144') aluminum superyacht built by the renowned Dutch shipyard Heesen to ABS Class standards in 2010 and delivered in 2011. With sleek hull lines and distinctive, multi-sized windows, her elegant exterior showcases the iconic styling and precision craftsmanship for which Heesen is known.

Interior Features

At the direction of the current owner, the interior underwent a full refit to enhance both luxury and comfort. The refreshed design features a sophisticated palette of crisp whites and warm autumn tones, blending rich textures and materials throughout. Having never been chartered, SHARKFINN shows minimal wear and is maintained in exceptional condition.

Accommodations

She comfortably accommodates 10 guests in five spacious ensuite staterooms, including two VIP cabins on the lower deck and a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck. The owner’s area includes a private study, generous wardrobe space, and a luxurious bathroom with his-and-hers partitions. An optional sixth cabin is located in the skylounge, featuring a hidden queen-size Murphy bed, allowing for a total of 12 guests when desired.

Salon and Deck Areas

The main salon and dining area flow seamlessly into a circular aft lounge with panoramic views and direct access to the aft deck—perfect for indoor-outdoor living. The expansive sundeck includes a Jacuzzi, a large lounging area, and an entertainment bar equipped with a remarkable sound system and full galley amenities, including a dumbwaiter to the galley deck for discreet service.

Garage and Engineer's Cabin

Below, the garage houses a tender and water toys and can be converted into a beach club for owners who prefer towing their tender. Also in this area is a private engineer’s cabin with ensuite facilities.

Performance and Specifications

SHARKFINN is impressively spacious at just under 500 GT and stands out in her class for both volume and performance. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines, she offers a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 23 knots. At an economical 12 knots, she boasts a range of 3,500 nautical miles, combining the efficiency of a displacement yacht with the speed of a semi-displacement design. Zero-speed stabilizers ensure comfort at anchor. Maneuvering her in close quarters is very easy with both a bow and a retractable stern thruster.

Recent Upgrades

Between 2021 and 2022, more than $2 million was invested in upgrades, including electronic systems, mechanical overhauls, and interior refinements. The owner meticulously addressed every onboard system to ensure years of reliable cruising. In 2023, SHARKFINN successfully completed a thorough ABS special survey, further verifying her superb condition and classification.
