The Dragonfly 28 Touring is an exceptionally versatile performance cruising trimaran from the Danish shipyard Quorning Boats. It combines high speed and sporty sailing with amazing livability, shallow water depth, and, above all, the possibility of folding the boat to only 2.54 m wide for transport and winter storage.

Under sail, the Dragonfly 28 shows its special strength: Thanks to the three hulls, it sails exceptionally stable and almost upright, without the heeling typical of monohull yachts. At the same time, it reacts directly and agilely at the helm. The shipyard specifies a possible speed of over 22 knots for the Dragonfly 28; the touring version is equipped with a 12 m aluminium mast and a sail wardrobe adapted to comfortable cruising sailing.

The swing-wing folding system is particularly interesting: the side hulls can be attached, reducing the width from 6.50 m to just 2.54 m. This means that the Dragonfly 28 can be transported not only in the water but also on a suitable trailer and moved over land with comparatively ease.

With a draught of only 0.40 m with the centreboard lifted, the Dragonfly also opens up areas that are not accessible to many keel yachts. With the centreboard lowered, the draught is around 1.70 m.
