Boat Overview

Til You Can't is a 2002 36' Monk double cabin trawler. She features a single Cummins 220 HP main engine, Onan 9 kW generator, Vetus bowthruster, Dickson hydraulic stern thruster, Tides dripless shaft seal, and dual Racor fuel filters with a vacuum gauge. The boat is equipped with Simrad electronics, AIS, a new Whale stainless steel water heater, and a Freedom Lift hydraulic tender davit system. Included is a Walker Bay RIB tender (2018) and a trailer for the tender. The vessel has non-skid decks, a lower helm with a side deck access door, and a 2 stateroom, 2 head layout. Til You Can't is a multiple Great Loop veteran and should be seen for her condition and upgrades. Her current slip in Bay City, MI is paid through the 2026 season.

36' Monk Vessel Walkthrough

From the fiberglass swimplatform, you enter the aftdeck via the centerline transom gate. You can then walk out either same-level side deck or step up one step to the trunk cabin and then to the flybridge. Walking out either side deck, you can access the salon via a side deck access door. Entering from the port side side door, you will find L-shaped seating and a hi/lo, folding table port forward, full-beam master stateroom with a centerline queen size berth and ensuite head with enclosed shower aft, galley starboard aft, and the lower helm and side door starboard forward. Walk forward and step down into the guest stateroom companionway with the head to port and stateroom with a v-berth forward. Engine room access is via salon sole hatches.

The headroom in the salon is 6'5", 6'1" on the flybridge, 6'5" in the master stateroom, 6'4" in the master stateroom shower, 6'8" in the guest stateroom, and 6'4" in the guest stateroom head. The master stateroom berth is 6'1" long and the guest stateroom berths are 6' long.

The height above the waterline to the top of the mast is 19'6", 15'6" to the top of the bimini, and 12'3" to the top of the flybridge windscreen.

Til You Can't offers a full-beam master stateroom aft with a centerline queen size berth and an ensuite head with an enclosed shower; and a guest stateroom forward with a v-berth and ensuite head.

36' Monk Salon

The salon features a teak & holly sole, engine room access, a side deck access door on each side, L-shaped seating with storage, and a double pedestal, folding table port forward. It has opening side windows with screens, shades and curtains, an aft window, a bookshelf, and a lounge chair that converts into a helm seat to starboard. Curtains and upholstery are new in 2023.

The full-beam master stateroom is aft and offers a centerline queen size berth, reading lights, teak & holly sole, full-length mirror, shelves, storage cabinets and drawers, hanging locker, storage under the berth, transom window with a shade, opening side windows with screens and shades, overhead hatch, fans, and an ensuite head with an enclosed shower.

The guest stateroom is forward and offers a v-berth, shelves, storage drawers and cabinets, hanging locker, anchor chain locker access, reading lights, 2 portlights with curtains, overhead hatch, teak & holly sole, and an ensuite head.

The lower helm is starboard forward in the salon and offers a helmseat, side deck access door, VDO gauges, engine control, bowthruster control, stern thruster control, anchor windlass control, and electronics as detailed in the electronics section in this presentation.

The flybridge features a bimini, Eisenglass enclosure, teak cap rails, non-skid deck, 2 helmseats, a benchseat with storage starboard forward, 2 deck chairs, storage under the helm, storage under the helmseats, engine control, VDO gauges, searchlight control with a wireless remote control, bowthruster control, stern thruster control, anchor windlass control, and electronics as detailed in the electronics section in this presentation.

36' Monk Trunk Cabin

The trunk cabin offers a non-skid deck, deck storage box (2018), stainless steel rails with Sunbrella weather curtains, and a step in each corner aft to the aftdeck.
