Moonen 68 Flybridge

Boat Description

This Moonen 68 'Rio Grande' was built for a very experienced owner from the professional shipping industry. At the owner's request during construction, the ship was made soundproof following an acoustic study by Van Cappellen, resulting in excellent insulation and reduced noise levels.

Current Ownership

The current and third owner of the Rio Grande had a flybridge constructed in 2021, creating a beautiful additional seating area and an extra helm station with all basic functions. The flybridge was designed and built by renowned Dutch shipbuilding companies.

Documentation

Onboard, there are 20 folders from Moonen regarding the construction, as well as 2 new folders documenting the refit and flybridge installation. All drawings and calculations are included in these folders.

Refit Details (2021)

• Entire ship reupholstered


• New mattresses installed


• Extra children's bed added in starboard forward cabin

• Teak decks restored/cleaned/sanded where necessary


• Gunwales and exterior woodwork revarnished


• Stabilizers overhauled
