Redbay Stormforce 11 RIBs are extremely seaworthy, well built, tough boats that are capable of handling all weather conditions. Redbay's are ideal for some serious coastal exploration with their renowned seakeeping abilities and are very popular for leisure and commercial use. Twin Yamaha 320hp diesel engines with 865 hours logged with good engine access from the spacious cockpit. The cabin is fitted with four shock mitigation seats and two bench seats, galley, heads compartment and a forward twin berth cabin. Easy access from a pontoon to the side decks and cockpit. Accommodation:

Forward cabin with twin berths and infill cushion, opening deck hatch, chain locker access, storage. Up to wheelhouse cabin with helm seat to starboard, navigators seat to port, further two seats behind to port and starboard and further aft, port and starboard bench seats. The four individual seats are adjustable, have suspension, manual weight adjustment, arm rests, head rests and seat belts. Redbay Boats description

The Stormforce 11 is the flagship in the range, and offers the best that RIBs can offer. The 11 was a natural development from the 9.1, due to customer demand for a larger RIB. Puffin Dive Centre in Oban took the first two boats out of the mould for their operations on the West Coast of Scotland. Since then, the 11 has developed and continued to grow in its popularity; every 11m RIB is unique and customised according to the customers requirements.

The Cabin version is what we would consider the ultimate for offshore cruising. The latest generation is fully decked - truly unique among Ribs The Full GRP Cabin is fitted with Seaglaze toughened marine grade safety windows. In terrible conditions offshore it is reassuring to know that you have the fantastic seakeeping of the 11m hull underneath you, with the safety and comfort of a cabin. Arrive at your destination warm, dry and relaxed, having experienced the joy of what has been termed "the finest RIB available today".

The Stormforce 11 is a deep V hull form, which is one of the reasons that this RIB has such fantastic abilities in rough offshore conditions. The Deep-V hull is combined with sprayrails to produce additional lift and improve the hydrodynamics of the hull. The tube is designed to sit firmly in contact with the water surface while at rest; this ensures that the RIB has maximum stability.

One of the major design features is the Hard Nose. This was developed due to several reasons, and has proven itself one of the most successful features on this design after many years in testing. The Hard Nose is primarily a safety feature. When a RIB such as this is driven hard in a large sea state, there is a real risk that detubing could occur. Thus, the nose is designed to offer complete protection to the tubes when operating in these conditions. Furthermore, there are actually two independent tubes on each side of the hull, offering even greater safety.

The other features of the hard nose are mainly from a practicality need. The GRP nose offers a much more suitable platform from which to anchor or moor, without any problems with damaging the tubes. It also offers much more internal space; this was incorporated into a large dry storage locker, and in most models facilitates twin berths. The RIB can be powered by any propulsion system but is ideally suited to Twin Yamaha Diesel Sterndrive installations.

The Explorer Cabin layout is totally customisable to the owners specific requirements. Aft cockpit versions are available if necessary, for example, to fit a wheel chair lift. Similarly, the Cabin can also be shorted to create a large working cockpit if required. Inside, a spacious double berth is fitted in the bow of the RIB. In the main cabin, the controls console is mounted forward, with plenty of space for todays modern navigational equipment. The layout of the rest of the cabin is left to the customer to decide. The typical offshore cruising layout is four KAB Air Sprung Seats and two aft benches. However, a toilet cubicle and galley are also becoming very popular.

At the stern is a dedicated engine compartment, with plenty of space for working around a twin installation. Between the engine compartment and the main cabin, dependent on the version, a large storage locker is provided extending the full width of the vessel. Fitout can be completed with Teak & Holly flooring, and many customers specify custom bespoke Red Cherry paneling and furniture. Decks can be finished with either High Grade Non-Slip surface or Tek-Deck.
