The 2026 Wellcraft 243 Fisherman is the reinvented and reengineered evolution of one of Wellcraft's most respected fishing platforms. Redesigned from the deck up under the hands on leadership of CEO Ken Clinton (a 30 year veteran of Intrepid Powerboats), the new 243 takes everything anglers loved about the 242 and pushes it forward: more cockpit space, more range, more rod storage, and a refined offshore ride from the proven 20 degree deep V hull.

Built in Cadillac, Michigan with traditional Wellcraft construction including a full fiberglass stringer system, this hull is purpose built for fishing first, with the family friendly versatility to double as a coastal cruiser and sandbar boat. Ordered with the Mercury 350 Verado V10 single outboard (the maximum rated horsepower for the 243), an aluminum tandem axle trailer for true trailerable freedom, and a striking Liquid Blue paint scheme that sets this hull apart, this is a fishing boat that fishes seriously and looks the part.
