Azimut 50

Azimut offers a blend of comfort, speed, and style in this new 50-foot cruiser. The 50 excels in delivering on this promise, with only the third cabin showing any compromise. Overall, it provides the complete package.

The 50’s three-cabin layout features a lower-deck galley, emphasizing the master and VIP cabins. The third cabin is smaller, with full-length bunk berths and a headroom of 6 feet 7 inches in the entrance area. The open-plan galley is bright and spacious, equipped with an opening porthole and ample stowage.

The master stateroom is a full-beam suite located amidships, featuring generous windows, a roomy head compartment, and a full-size, low-level berth. Despite some complexity in headroom due to the main deck molding, there is still 6 feet 4 inches in the key areas. Azimut's attention to detail is evident in the beautifully crafted slide-out vanity unit in the master suite.

The VIP cabin in the bow is slightly less spacious than the master but still comfortable, with plenty of stowage options. The double berths lift on gas struts to reveal significant storage beneath. The VIP head, with a roomy shower compartment, has en suite access and also serves as a dayhead.

By placing the galley on the lower deck, a comfortable raised dinette is created opposite the helm, offering excellent views. The main-deck windows, while not as massive as they appear from the outside, consist of several panels with sturdy fiberglass supports, creating a bright and inviting deck saloon with discrete seating areas and a sofa-bed option on the starboard side. The interior design by Carlo Galeazzi features contrasting tones and textures, though additional handholds and fiddles for tables and galley surfaces would be beneficial.

The spacious cockpit is protected by a large flying bridge, covering approximately 200 square feet, and is complemented by a generous foredeck seating area with a separate sofa and sunbed. An optional crew cabin can be installed beneath the cockpit sofa, providing an excellent berth despite limited headroom. The hydraulic platform can accommodate tenders up to 10 feet 6 inches long and weighing up to 770 pounds.
