"Das schwarzblaue Zifferblatt dieser Nautilus macht den Klassiker aus. Es ist die gesuchte Variante mit Indexen aus Weißgold, die noch mit der originalen Tritium-Leuchtmasse gefüllt sind. Des Weiteren befindet sich das Gehäuse und das Armband aus Edelstahl noch in einem sehr schönen, originalen Zustand. Unter den Patek Philippe Nautilus-Aficionados sind die so genannten “Sigma Dials” besonders begehrt. Zudem wurde die Uhr im August 2020 einer kompletten Revision durch Patek Philippe unterzogen und gleichzeitig ein Stammbuchauszug erstellt, der die Daten der Uhr bestätigt.

Mitte der 1970er Jahre überraschte der renommierte Schweizer Uhrenhersteller Patek Philippe mit einer unorthodoxen Armbanduhr aus Stahl und lancierte das erste Nautilus-Modell. Damals war der Inbegriff einer Luxusuhr aus Gold und möglichst flacher Bauart. Entgegen dem damaligen Trend, entschloss sich Patek Philippe mit der “Nautilus Jumbo” zum kühnen Look einer Uhr im Bullaugen-Design im schlichten Stahlgehäuse. Das erste Modell der Kollektion ist die Ref. 3700/1. Das bis 120 Meter wasserdichte Gehäuse erhält ein Schweizer Patent. Im Jahre 1978 kostete dieses Modell in Stahl 5.450 DM, die Goldversion schlug mit 16.800 DM zu Buche.

"The black-blue dial of this Nautilus is what makes it a classic. It's the sought-after variant with indexes made of white gold, which are still filled with the original tritium luminous material. Furthermore, the stainless steel case and bracelet are still in a very beautiful, original condition The so-called "Sigma Dials” are particularly popular among Patek Philippe Nautilus aficionados. In addition, the watch underwent a complete revision by Patek Philippe in August 2020 and at the same time an extract from the archives was created that confirms the data of the watch.

In the mid-1970s, the renowned Swiss watch manufacturer Patek Philippe surprised everyone with an unorthodox steel wristwatch and launched the first Nautilus model. At that time it was the epitome of a luxury watch made of gold and as flat as possible. Contrary to the trend at the time, Patek Philippe decided with the “Nautilus Jumbo” for the bold look of a watch with a porthole design in a simple steel case.
