Item description
A normal vintage Longines Lindbergh is already rare... but signed A. Cairelli Roma is ultra rare as only 3 exist! These are special pilot watches, invented by Charles A. Lindbergh and introduced in 1932. This is one of the last examples and was supplied to Italy in 1939 and forwarded to A. Cairelli in Rome who supplied watches, timing instuments etc. to the Italian Ministry of the Armed Forces (also by Omega, UG, Zenith eo). It's a big watch, measuring 47mm ex. crown (usually worn over a jacket). The case is steel and the bezel made of silver with beautiful blue enamel numbers. The original enamel dial is beautiful with 3 color print plus the retailers name. The large special movement is Cal. 18.99N and working perfectly. It also comes with a Longines extract. If you want something special, a piece of history plus rarity of only 3 pieces worldwide, this is it!
